Upper Mustang - Lo Manthang Trek

This is very challenging and rewarding trekking in Nepal which is you can experience real Nepalese life, cultural and wilderness, to do this trek client most have to be mentally prepare and physically fitness for add in these area.

Variations of the here shown itinerary are no problem, even appreciated. My ambition is to trim the trek for your individual timetable and budget. Please contact me for any further questions.

Continue trekking to Ghami, 3530 m (1–2 hrs)

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
Day 2 Flight or drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (40 min flight / 7 hrs drive)
Day 3 Flight from Pokhara to Jomsom Continue trekking from Jomsom to Kagbeni, 2800m (4–5 hrs)
Day 4 Trekking from Kagbeni to Chele, 3030 m (6 hrs)
Day 5 Trekking from Chele to Geling, 3570 m (7 hrs)
Day 6 Trekking from Geling to Charang, 3560 m (6 hrs)
Day 7 Trekking from Charang to Lo Manthang, 3840 m (5 hrs)
Day 8 Rest day at Lo Manthang

Included

Guide & Porter

I will accompany you as a guide, organizing everything in advance and en route, lead the way and be the one you can ask everything. If you decide to engage a porter to help carry parts of your load, I will organize a personally befriended Nepali for our trek together. On camping treks more than one porter is necessary.

Accommodation & Food

The daily rate includes accommodation in lodges along the route. The character of the room and toilet facilities depends on region and season. Showers might be available in more developed areas. On camping treks tents, insulation mats as well as cooking- and eating equipment is provided. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served, together with a cup of hot tea/coffee. An additional cup of tea/coffee on a hiking break is offered. Boiled drinking water is assured at any time.

Rescue & Insurance

A contract insuring rescue in case of an accident/emergency – if necessary by helicopter – for all clients as well as for guide and porter(s) will be signed. A personal international health insurance for all travelers is required, though. A personal international accident insurance is recommended.

Hotel

If you plan to stay longer in Nepal than your planned trek lasts, every other night in a local hotel except the first (before the trek) and the last (after the trek) will be your own expense. I reserve the right to select a sufficient hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara for you. More up priced hotels can be chosen for an additional charge.
